Well that was fun. So on to my point. Whats up with computers? I know right? Crazy!

Good, now onto my point of this whole post. The NFL Draft Combine. (wow, even i didn't see that one coming, but give me time, it will all come back around)

The Combine is going on as we speak. (i may or may not be streaming it at NFL.com)

The big name, skill guys on offense (QB's, RB's, WR's TE's) and the o-line went through there drills this last weekend. Let me share with you some of the numbers.

40 yard dash fun facts.

5 Guys so far have run SUB 4.4 40's. (fastest so far being the running back from maryland Scott)

All but 1 QB was sub 5.0. 7 at 4.65 or under. 4 sub 4.5.

2 o-line guys ran a sub 5.0 (Kelce from Cincinnati, and Bartholomew from Syracuse.) and one (Newton from Arkansas State (what up sun belt!)) at 5.01. That means 3 O-linemen ran faster than the slowest QB.

8 Runningbacks ran a 4.5 or under

The Mormons are coming to Vegas, to go Bowling

Its that time of year again!

Despite how you feel about the Bowl Championship Series, you have to admit its nice to have college football on almost everyday for a two week period. Granted some of the games are crap, I mean come on, who outside of the students and alumni will want to watch Florida Atlantic vs Central Michigan? Sounds like 2 types of Birds.

Well my good sexy readers, That's what I'm here for. I'm going to try and give you all a reason for watching every single bowl game (at least until I'm so inundated with family that I can't blog). Much like last year, I'm going to use one of my favorite draft sites, The Great Blue North as a guide to tell you which players in each bowl are worth watching from a NFL draft stand point, as well as a few thoughts on the game.

We are going to start this off with this weekends games, but check back when you can to see previews of as many games as I can get to. And if i make them all, I expect a pizza party to be thrown in my honor. Seriously.

Wake Forest vs. Navy

Washington, D.C.

Sure Wake has 5 losses, but they were only one game out from playing the ACC champ game! They have beaten such other bowl teams as Florida State and Vanderbilt, but one of there losses came too.......NAVY! How fun is a rematch? Talk about opposite philosophy's! Navy ran the ball in that game all but 4 times for 292 yards, while Wake did nothing but pass as 270 of their 313 total yards came in the air.

Big's Pick: I like Wake in this game, but not by much.

Fresno isn't much to make your pants go crazy either though, losing 3 out of their last 5, including a 61-10 thumping by Boise, but they do have Derek Carr, younger brother of Magic Hands David Carr signed on as a recruit for them next year!

Ohh, and USF has lost 5 of their last 7.

By far the best game of the Weekend not played in the NFL. BYU is a really good team, and Arizona finally looks like they are showing some signs of life under baby Stoops. BYU was the original BCS buster darlings at the start of year, but droped a game at both TCU and Utah. Zona might only be 7-5, but they beat Cal, ASU and UCLA. Those guys aren't world beaters, but its not too shabby either.

Bigs Pick: BYU, followed by a mass exodouis of BYU players to the craps tables, where Mormonism stands no chance, and the football program is disbanded.

Ahh yes, the only bowl game to host a UNT post season appearance! Alas this year, there will be no Bourbon Bowl for UNT. But a team we played in oneIS going to be there in Southern Miss! And that almost didn't happen. Southern Miss had to win their last 4 games to have the honor of playing in New Orleans. Troy on the other hand, won the Sunbelt on the way to 8 wins, including a 45-17 thumping of the Mean Green.

Big's Pick: Sunbelt baby! Troy is the new David Lee Roth (?)!

Prospects to watch:

Stories I'm tired of, and those I'd like to read more about

Unlike Big, I still watch ESPN with the hopes that one day it will return to it's mid-90's glory and I'll be there to witness it. (For those of you who didn't know, Big has been able to quit watching ESPN, but he can't quit smoking. Go figure.)

I don't think you're surprised by this at all, are you? Who isn't tired of hearing about this? It's become like the Mellencamp "This is Our Country" commercial. You just want to ram your head into the wall over and over to make it stop.

What I'd rather know - The Seahawks running backs
Will they go back committee? Are they actually going to pick a certain guy to be "they guy"? Do they really think that either Maurice Morris or Julius Jones can do anything behind Walter Jones and a bunch of spares?

I think this phrase has officially become anthrax to my ears. Never mind that I hate Boston with a vehemence that rivals cities like Houston or Raleigh. I'm just tired of hearing about what might or might not happen. If he gets traded, then sure, it's huge, spend time on it and interview Theo. Otherwise?

What I'd rather know - CC Sabathia's major competition for the NL Cy Young is his own teammate
How do the Brewers not get more headlines? How can ESPN spend more time on Yankees/Red Sox and ignore Cubs/Brewers which is ten times more important right now. Since the trade, Sabathia has been on fire, and could be the "Kevin Garnett" move of the season to net a title. Oh yeah, did anyone mention that Ben Sheets was ALREADY kicking ass before Sabathia got there?

What I'm tired of - Michelle Wie
I can't even fathom why she should be a news story at all, let alone why PGA tournaments still think there is any fire behind the bit of letting her play. Go away, Michelle Wie. Keep getting plugged by one or both of the Lopez twins and go play college golf. Let Ochoa and Creamer dominate women's golf now that Annika is gone, and the media can focus more on Gulbis.

What I'd rather know - Phil lost his boobs
Phil Mickelson has trimmed down quite a bit since being a tour favorite buxom sex pot. No, you're not misreading that, and I didn't mean Amy Mickelson. Lefty had the most bodacious set of man boobs since Mabel was wrestling, and now they're gone. Isn't that a workout that should be as widely followed as Atkins or whatever people are using these days?

College Football Bowls, Watch em!

Bowl Games!! You know you love em. They start in next few days, and this is my attempt to help you, the sexy readers on what to watch for durring this years bowl season. What is the point of watching all the games Big? There are so many and only 2 or 3 really have meaning? Well i'm glad you asked.

There are about 4 sides to my sports brain. College Sports, NFL, Other Sports, and the NFL Draft. So how can one of these things get you to watch more bowl games? Thats right the draft.
